Living a Life with purpose

My friends,

I don't claim to have all of the answers to life's questions. Anyone who is on this faith journey who
thinks that they do have all of the answers is not only fooling others, but fooling themselves as well.
What I have learned in my nearly five decades on this earth is that I have a lot more to learn. But I have discovered four very important truths in this life.

I.                    Getting the spiritual life back FIRST is the key to finding peace in life
II.                  Getting the emotional life back is important – we cannot be ‘cold-hearted’, but we also cannot come off to others as phony.
III.                Focus on the physical life – not turn into gym rats, but focus on healthier eating.
IV.                Financials are as key to a complete spiritual life.

This journey is difficult, but not impossible….and it is rewarding as well! God gives Strength beyond our own…Wisdom much greater than all the wisdom of this world and a love that is truly UNCONDITIONAL. As children of the most High God, we must be…

  • ·         Devoted to loving God and allowing God to love you and love through you…
  • ·         Devote yourself to the Apostles teaching – live according to the Bible.
  • ·         Devote yourself to helping others meet needs (we are in this TOGETHER)
  • ·         Devote yourselves to each other…
      Blessings!

Everything happens for a reason...

We are all unique...and we all have unique journeys of faith. I have grown up in the church, but I was often the only one going to church when I was in my teen years. I went to bible college, and met a girl whose faith journey was almost the opposite of mine. Her parents not only attended but were music leaders in the church.

In our nearly three decades of marriage, my wife and I have truly lived the reality of 'everything happens for a reason'. We have experienced many transitions in our lives and ministry. Even now, we are experiencing another great transition in our lives. We both love to teach - being able to give back to the younger generations what has been given to us.

But, to this generation, we believe that is necessary to pass on more than knowledge, but it is even more important to pass on the legacy of our leaders. We live in a 'disposable' society (with no apparent concern for what effect it might have on future generations. It even has affected the church and how it ministers today.

A wise professor once told his class that the MESSAGE of Jesus will never change, but the METHODS in how we proclaim it MUST change. If we are to continue to be servants of Christ, our lives must reflect Jesus (not our own narrow concept of Him). If we proclaim Him boldly on social media, we should also see that life lived out when we are face to face with people. Our Lord expects that from us, If we are not living up to that, then we must look at our motives.
